Marcia started Bright Start as a home-based daycare in 2002 and has grown it into a trusted, multilingual early learning center with 3 campuses in Washington, DC. A registered nurse for more than 25 years, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Director Certificate.
Her motto: “Embrace every child and foster their uniqueness.”
Lucy has worked as an Education Program Specialist with OSSE, an early childhood coach, and a Pre-K teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a dual concentration in Developmental and Social Psychology, plus a minor in Elementary Education.
Veronica has spent more than 40 years as a preschool director and assistant director, and has taught in DC Public Schools and early childcare programs. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and has completed master’s coursework in Early Childhood Education.
Dexter keeps Bright Start running smoothly behind the scenes, managing accounts and IT. He brings a background in project management and client account management, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting.
