Explorers Reach For The Stars
With Gentle, Nurturing Teachers
Expert teachers help your 2-year-old navigate this turbulent time with grace and knowledge. Personalized lessons continue to reinforce your child’s interests and skills, while cooperative play and large group activities become more focused.
Building Preschool Readiness
Through Playful Adventures
School readiness is a major focus in the Explorers class. You won’t find lots of seat work, though. Instead, your child learns by doing. From outdoor play to arts and crafts, everything they do has a positive effect.
Your 2-Year-Old Is Ready
For A Language Explosion
Teachers talk to the children constantly: engaging them in conversation, singing songs, reciting nursery rhymes, and reading books. Adding twice-weekly French lessons and daily conversational Spanish gives your child’s language and literacy skills a chance to shine.
Enrichments Let Their
Creativity Shine
Music, dance, yoga, soccer, drama, and Zumbini are just some of the fun enrichment activities that happen each week. Harambee drumming with Baba Ras D is a highlight, as is a monthly visit from a librarian for storytime.
Lots Of Outdoor Play Builds
Strong Brains & Bodies
Outdoor play is the highlight of the children’s day, with plenty of toys and space for running, climbing, jumping, spinning, and more. Age-separated areas give little ones the opportunity to play without worrying about exuberant older kids.
2-year-olds are exploring their independence. They want to do things themselves, and are very vocal about likes, dislikes, wants, and needs. This is a prime time for an increased focus on self-regulation and effective communication, which teachers handle with skill.
Everyone loves Chef Annie’s tasty meals and snacks! Your child continues growing their self-care skills, becoming adept at using silverware and cleaning up after themselves. Family-style meals also afford children the chance to learn about community and manners.
Your child is safe and secure at all times during school hours. Security cameras monitor the halls, and staff members escort all guests. Only authorized users have PIN code access to exterior doors.
“Bright Start is simply fantastic. The caregivers are wonderful and get to know all the kids. And the parent community is great. Bright Start truly became a second home for my daughter during her 2.5 years there. She’s in a public pre-K program now, but we’d send her to Bright Start again in a heartbeat.”
